The building, whose main façade overlooks Via Senato, 12, is a listed building according to article 45 (indirect restriction) of the Law Decree 42/04, and thanks to the proximity with two sites of historical and monumental significance as the Senate (now State Archives) and the Villa Reale (the Royal Villa) in Milan.
The palace is an awesome structure designed by the architect Castiglioni in the early 30s, which incorporates the elements of neoclassical rationalist architecture realized in Italy from the 20s up to 1940. The coverings consist in the lower part (the first two floors) of polished granite marble (serizzo), while the upper zone is bounded by the central balcony (enriched by bas-reliefs in Candoglia marble) that acts as a string-course with the upper wall surface, in Lombard strain, and that includes both sides of the elevations.
The upper part is punctuated by a series of ten columns with a height of approximately 15 m each.
