The palace is built on the ruins of the ancient castle which overlooked the feud of Turano in Lodi territory. The opulent dimensions and the magnificent paintings of the building are due to Calderari family, who received the feud from Visconti family and, since 1675, and transformed it into a symbol of prestige.
After feuds’ collapse and Calderaris’ end, the palace saw a long period of decline until 1997, when the actual owner started the renovation works which are bringing back one of the most beautiful jewels of XVII-XVII century architecture.
The quadrangular drawing of the palace is arranged around the central court and is divided into an “aristocratic” part, with large decorated halls and overlooking Adda river, and a “rustic” part that can be entered through an arch gate.
