Renovation and preservation of the interiors of Basilica prepositurale (provost cathedral) of St. Vittore al Corpo in Milan

Interventions interested the presbitery and central nave of the cathedral of St. Vittore al Corpo: the preservation of decoratons and of some paintings that were part of the decorative setup. The window glasses in the presbitery were replaced  and new electric and lighting systems,  as well as the loud alarm system were installed. The renovation works allowed to deepen the knowledge of this building, of the artists who worked there, and especially of the decorations and materials that were used. Interesting discoveries concerned the gold-platings , the plaster composition ,  the color coat used for frescoes and the painting with the the Coronation of the Virgin.
