Redevelopment and renovation project of Villa di Breme Gualdoni Forno

The use of Villa di Breme Gualdoni Forno as a higher education centre of  the University of Milan-Bicocca, allowed to protect the original plant of the villa, through an almost natural adjustment procedure of the new spaces to the existing ones.
The  building renovation interventions consisted of the restoration  of those parts carrying stylistic and historic values (internal and external), of those modified by the transformations operated  in the last century, and of the introduction of some elements showing the new “life” of the building, also through the different building “languages” and construction techniques and the preservation of some decorations discovered by chance during the works.
