Our objectives:

“Milan in Its Art Yards” - a project by:

  • Assimpredil Ance, Association of Building and Related Companies of Milano, Lodi, Monza e Brianza provinces;
  • Milan Chamber of Commerce;
  • Commission for the Architectural and Landscape Heritage of Milano, Bergamo, Como, Lecco, Lodi, Pavia, Sondrio, Varese;
  • Archdiocese of Milano – Culture Department

“Milan in Its Art Yards” – the objectives:

  • Highlight the quality / potential of Milan as a city of art in an unusual and original way, through the presentation and analysis of significant restoration works carried out over the last ten years on its historical and artistic legacy of extraordinary value;
  • Promote competencies, know-how and tradition of Milanese companies operating in the industry of restoration and static consolidation of historic buildings, for what both materials and intervention procedures are concerned.

Restoration job sites - a unique occasion for:

  • Conduct a historical reflection and a reconstruction of the town also from the work world and from its articulated activities perspective;
  • Reflect on the role of restoration as “vehicle” of the cultural values bound to practical and theoretical activities (from surveys to historic research, from chemical evaluations of materials to historic judgments, from intervention procedures to unavoidable discoveries during work execution);
  • Identify methodologies of intervention that can be exported abroad.
