The hydraulic hub at Paullo and its relevant protection building, which was once called the "Lavorerio" or “Casa Camerale” and nowdays called “House of Water”, has always been a place of great historical, strategic and topical importance in the territory of the Consortium Muzza Bassa Lodigiana.
Since its construction (that we assume took place in the fifteenth century) up to now, the architectural complex has undergone various transformations due to changed operating conditions of the hydraulic hub, which have strongly influenced the changes to the structural arrangements.
The latest changes, which were carried out only a few years ago, were characterized by an overall redevelopment of the hub, based on a rigorous architectural renovation of the three existing buildings and the full adjustment of the outdoor spaces.
