Restoration of the exteriors of the southern wing

The restoration of the exteriors of the southern wing of Sant'Eustorgio’s Cathedral were carried out in two different phases: the first, thanks to the contributions of Cariplo foundation, sponsored the interventions in the four chapels dating back to the XIII-XIV, whereas the second one, thanks to Government funds,  involved the southern transept and the mediaval apse. The brickwork of the transept, featuring most part  of the exteriors, shows interesting elements in its southern wing (transept and apse the ) where you can see areas belonging to nineteenth-century side by side with the original masonry.
