The new demands of the University of Milan entailed the recovery interventions of the area below the lower cloisters of Filerete buildings: the "Icebox", the "Woodshed" and "Eighteenth Century."
The recovery of the "woodshed" enhanced the arches showing them as open windows for light to pass through, protected by rollaway glass doors.
For the "Icebox"the original solid brick dome collapsed during the II World War was replacedby a glass one, resting on a flat slab and recreating the original green space of the courtyard.
The recovery of "Eighteenth Century" was relatively simple, as no previous constructions were present: the project for the construction of a library enabled a solution free from historical building restrictions except for the reconstruction of the garden.
